About the Case Converter
Converts text between sentence case, lower, upper, title case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and alternating case, in your browser.
The title-case option follows editorial convention: capitalise the first and last words and everything in between except short articles, conjunctions and prepositions. Naive converters capitalise every word, which is why so many headlines read like a legal document.
The programming cases are here because converting a list of labels into identifiers by hand is tedious and error-prone. Paste a column of field names, pick snake_case, and the result is ready to use.
Common questions
How does title case decide which words to capitalise?
It follows standard editorial convention: capitalise the first and last words plus every major word, but leave short articles, conjunctions and prepositions lowercase unless they start the sentence.
What's snake_case used for?
Mainly programming — variable names, database columns and config keys that can't contain spaces. Converting a list of labels into snake_case by hand is what this option saves you from.
Does converting case change anything else about my text?
No — only letter casing changes. Punctuation, spacing and word order stay exactly as you typed them.
